Bentek Implementation
How long does implementation take?
Typical implementation takes 8–12 weeks, but Bentek regularly handles accelerated timelines for OE-driven go-lives or multi-agency transitions.
What does Bentek need to begin implementation?
A census file, plan documents, carrier contacts, payroll schedules, bargaining unit rules, retiree group definitions, and any legacy plan information. Your Implementation Manager builds, validates, and tests the entire environment.
Retiree Management: Bentek's Deep Capabilities
Does Bentek support retiree enrollment and management?
Yes. Retirees are first-class users in Bentek, not an afterthought. The platform supports:
- Pre-65 + post-65 groups
- Medicare Advantage and Medigap plans
- Documentation workflows for proof of Medicare enrollment
- Grandfathered groups and frozen benefits
- Premium subsidies and contribution models
- Variable years-of-service eligibility rules
- State-required retiree health programs
- Multi-agency retiree oversight
- Custom enrollment windows separate from active employees
Can retirees complete enrollment online?
Yes. Retirees get the same modern experience as employees, including plan comparisons, documents, cost breakdowns, and digital submission.
Does Bentek handle retiree billing?
Yes. Bentek can track premiums owed, contribution offsets, subsidy eligibility, and rate changes. We support flexible billing models across multiple retiree_groups.
Can Bentek manage grandfathered or legacy retiree plans?
Yes. Many public-sector clients carry 20+ years of legacy groups. Bentek supports frozen eligibility, fixed stipends, legacy entitlements, and separate contribution structures.
Can Bentek support pension-linked eligibility rules?
Yes. You can define eligibility or subsidy thresholds tied to:
- Pension vesting
- Years of service
- Age + service formulas
- State pension classifications
This is particularly common in county governments and school districts.
Can Bentek support multi-agency retiree management?
Yes. Agencies under one umbrella — like sheriff’s offices, city utilities, transportation authorities, and school boards — can have completely separate retiree rules within one system.
